Guys: What is the definitive answer on the cooler seat replacement for my boat?
Size?
Price?
Where to buy?

If you go through a Whaler dealer for the real thing, 72 Qt about $380.00 with the hold down kit and seat pad.
If you would be happy with a non-original West Marine offers some real good prices.

I meant to say that I want to replace just the cooler. My seat is fine. Is there replacement that works well with the factory seat cushins and chocks?

You may be out of luck. The older style 86Qt is no longer available from Igloo, and nothing they currently make is exactly the same design. Maybe you can find a used one?

Mark,

You didn't say exactly what year boat/cooler you have, but lhg is right, if you are trying to replace an Igloo 86 qt cooler, they don't make one any more. The old 86 qt has been superseded by the 94 qt. It is, in essence, the same as the 86 qt but with a taller, "domed", lid. It will work with the chocks for an 86 qt. as well as the cushion from an 86 qt. but you may find that it is harder to open the lid because of the taller lid. If this is the case, you can do as lhg does and reverse the cooler so that the hinges are facing the bow.

I have the igloo cooler that Tom talks about. I use it only for lifevest storage and as a seat with a new cushion from Dave's. In order to access it has to be lifted above the front blocks and pulled out.I have a 120 quart in the stern which I use for beverages and seating. It sits on a waffle pad and does not slip. Is great seatr for crusing and for working with downriggers. I have a matching cushion from Daves on order for it.

Bullbay. Are you saying that Dave's made you a new cushion for the old Igloo 86Qt? I have one of those also, and in need of a new cushion, and was wondering if Dave's had the pattern to make one.

Bullbay- I'm interested in the 120 qt. cooler for a rear seat idea.Do you hava a montauk? Does it reach from gunnel to gunnel and how deep is it? Same as the 94 qt? How much for the pad being made? Sorry about all the ignant questions- thanks
