The plexiglass circle that allows me to see the fuel guage in my 1991 '19 Outrage is scratched to hell. How can I replace it without compromising the watertight seal around it?

Think they are Beckson deck plates -- well you can order a clear insert from a marine supply store with gasket -- guess it is the 8" round --- or you could just replace the whole thing for $16 at West Marine. More work to replace. I am guessing it is still the pry out style since you need access to the fuel guage.

I just had the same problem. Plexiglass can be wet sanded & polished and buffed, just like gelcoat. I polished up mine, and they look like new. Clear as glass. The undersurface is probably fine. Just do the top. Use 600 grit, then 1000, then 1500, then rubbing compound & finally clearcoat scratch remover.
