I've run into a snag while trying to replace a "t" on the railing that's around the engine well on my '71 Outrage. I discovered that the railing is one piece and was apparently bent after the original "t's" were installed which bring me to my problem. To replace the "t" I will either have to cut the railing at the "t", or try to straighten the railing out to replace it. I really don't want to cut the railing, and I don't want to damage the original railing. Any suggestions appreciated. JC

See my posting on rail repair from last week. I had to cut them, but if you follow the directions, they are as strong as new.

Thanks Beachedwhale, I never though of using a splice to keep the strength of the rail. Thanks for the good tip.JC
