Iím about to buy a 84' outrage 18', the boat is mint except for a small 6" sq area that has these small pointy bumps, about the size of a pencil eraser but not as tall. One of them is chipped off and you can see fiberglass, no foam though, seamís to only be surface. These are very small and I can't explain them. The rest of the boat is spotless, so this isn't from abuse. The tailoring strap isn't located near these. Any idea what they are? Thanks

Don't know what they are but my 77 Montauk has them too - in the stern near the decal...

Never bothered me much - she still floats fine.

Brian,
Sounds like gelcoat blisters. Are they below the waterline?

Easy to fix. Check the West system manual at West Marine. JIM
