need to wax my boat this weekend. what is the best cleaner/wax for gelcoat?

This is going to be a religious argument.
There are a lot of good waxes. Whaler
recommends McGuires HiTek Yellow #something.
I tried it and didn't like it. I use the
same NuFinish I use on my cars. Once a year
whether it needs it or not. The boat goes in
saltwater most every weekend.

Look at the post catagory "make that WHALER LOOK NEW" I used that method and it really works!

There is a relatively new product (to me possibly) called Dolphinite. I have seen the results and I can say that I am guit impressed.

I don't know squat, but I can tell you this: George Nagy is right on with his advice to refer back to LHG's post "Making Your Whaler Look Like New." Two months ago I bought a '78 Montauk. I followed those directions from LHG and this simply does NOT look like the same boat I brought home that day. Follow it...it's amazing.

After considerable time and frustration I still have not found a post called "Making Your Whaler Look Like New" from lhg under any of the Hop To links for the past year.
