I am using a Motorguide bow mount with their detachable mount system on my Montauk.
As the pad at the bow is not flat it takes a little shimming, but no problem to do.

I will send you an e-mail with some pictures.

I have a SS plate permanently mounted to my bow step. To this I have a Motorguige removeable bracket, GatorMount, and a 52lb. 12V foot control. I have it on the left but should have had it on the right to counter the steering list. Myself and a friend wih Merc 90 4-strokes and another with a 90 2 stroke and kicker all have porpoising problems when trimming out with the motor on the bow. I did not have this problem with my Merc 75 2-stroke.
