I'm about to install my transducer, any ideas about the screwholes in the transom?
Also, I don't have a chock on the bow, and am not sure about the bow light. If I install a light, then the anchor line can pull it loose when the boat swings. I don't have a bow rail, so that's no an option for mounting. I'm thinking about even mounting a pair on the front edges of the console. I thought I would put a base for the stern light in the motor well. Any ideas for a non-original 16 foot hull?

UH, don't use a jack hammer or dynamite? ;-)

Drill the holes with an electric drill.
Don't make them too small or they'll crack
the resin. Don't make them too big, or
they'll pull out. The fishfinder installation
instructions should say how big and where.
Counter sink them a bit (so the countersink
ALMOST starts to cut the brown resin beneath
the gel coat.) Seal them with 3M 101.
Squirt some 101 in the hole, stick the screw
in the end of the 101 tube, screw.

Standard location for the stern light mount
is on the inside of the starboard transom,
between the motor well and the gunwale.
