I have a 40 manual Mariner on a 13 and was wondering about trim and tilt, I used to see ads for the manual trim made by Doel or Dole, what ever became of it? It seemed like a good idea because of the weight, I never have missed having to fool with a battery or the extra weight, but would like to be able to adjust trim while running. Thanks LA

Never heard of a manual trim n tilt. I would think the thrust is too great to move when running fast. CMC makes a power one for about $400+

The manual trim unit was hydraulic with a lever that you pumped to apply the pressure, and the lever was mounted like the engine controls are. LA

I knew a guy with a flats skiff with a Suzuki and he had one on it, he claimed it worked great and was real simple, they used to advertise them in all the fishing and boating magazines, but don't see them anymore.
