I want to build a teak stern seat for my Montauk. I have a couple of questions though…..
What kind of teak did Whaler use? I think I read somewhere that it is Burmese teak.
Does anyone know a contact or wholesaler for buying teak?

Thanks in advance
Chris

I shopped some teak for a patio project and was quoted $25.00 a board foot. Very spendy stuff. Mahogany is much less expensive and with several coats of varnish looks great.

I've redone all my teak this winter, and paid around $20 a board/foot. Next time Teak and Mahogany, as appropriate.
