My wife, ever the trooper, volunteered to tow our 18í outrage to Puget Sound for a week of crabbing and cruising. She made it from Northern California to Salem, Oregon. The bearing buddy on the starboard side of the boat fell off and the bearing is squealing. Luckily she made it to the hotel that she was headed for. Does anyone know of a good shop to take the trailer in the morning?. I, of course, feel like sh** but I did check the setup before she left. I have no idea what went wrong. Murphy strikes again. Iím flying to Seattle tomorrow night. Any suggestions are welcome as long as they donít involve lawyers.

I don't have any place in Salem to recommend but just about any service station or garage/brake shop should be able to fix it.
If you can only get a temporary fix good enough to get it to Seattle then do that and bring the boat by my house and I will fix it right. I'm in the Ballard neighborhood (boating and boat parts capital of the world)

Thank you for the kind offer. I may yet take you up on that. I got a couple of names of places off the internet. My wife is very capable of working through any problem. Although, I must admit she is a little upset with me at the moment. I will post what happens.

My wife is on the road again. Salem wheel and brake shop took care of her. I even think that she is talking to me. If not it's going to be a very long week. I hope the crabing is good.
