Rub Rail Install

I am trying to install the whaler rub rail on my 13. I am following the instructions in the reference section as close as possible but this is turning into a head ache. The reciever track is very rigid and tends to twist. Trying to secure flush with screws is tough because it twist in multiple directions. I spent alot of time repairing screw holes and now i am just adding new ones. Additionaly, the angles on the joint add another dimension of twist. Most important is that the sheer-line is off by about a 1/2 inch from port to starboarb. Across the bow is where this is most noticable as the rubrail climbs up towards the starboard side. Any rerason for this? If I try to install the port side a little high to compensate, the top of the reciever track is lossing its ability to hold the L-molding in place. Any help on this subject would be appreciated.
