I just swapped out the old rack and pin and now Im looking at the shift and speed cables.
they are cracked and pulled out from motor.

How tough are they to "do it yourself" replacement?
Can the 2 cables and instructions be easliy obtained?

I've replaced them on my Montauk. Not difficult. Remove a cable and measure it to determine length required. Cables were easy to snake through tunnel on my Montauk. I even keep an old one handy to use a snake when I have to pull anything through the tunnel.

thanks for the response, I didnt know if there was anything difficult about actually
detaching or aligning it back up.
Sounds like a no brainer, ive got the snake though down pat having just done the steering
