I have a 1970 Montauk/Nauset with a wood console in pretty rough shape. I am looking into either a wooden redo or a fiberglass replacement. Any suggestions on the wood, mahogany or teak? Are you aware of any places that make a reasonable fiberglass model? Thanks.

I vowed not to post on this site again but I have to tell you of what I found last week I think it will help you.

There is an original wood console from a 1969 17" whaler for sale At Wickford Marine Consignment in Wickford Rhode Island. I think the asking price is $150. The console is original and needs to be refinished but it looked solid and the glass looked real good.
