I just purchased a 1996 Montauk. I see in the sales brochure that a teak option was available that year. The brochure list the pilot seat back, the console doors, and console trim. Does anybody know which of trim items on the console came as teak with this option? Thanks.

Trim was the doors and door trim and the fire extinguisher compartment. The rps back was also teak as you stated, nothing else.

Also, the bottom strips of teak covering the aluminum floor angles on the console.

GR- I am looking to convert my 88 Montauk to the "low-maintenance" model from the teak trimmed one. If you are interested in making a trade for the teak, I would love to work something out. I have the seat back, and all helm trim, but the one teak door is cracked, and the lower door has been replaced with plexi-glass already. I also have the bow locker cover and the fire extinguisher trim.

Let me know if your interested,
Dan

Also, does anyone know who manufactures the console doors on the current Montauk. They are white and lappear to be either plastic or starboard. If anyone has an OEM for these I would appreciate it.

I am also looking for an OEM manufacturer of the plastic doors and trim for a 22' Outrage with a super console.
Thank you

Somewhere, buried in my pile of boat trade show literature, I have the outfit that made all of Whaler's consoles in the Reebock period, and who fabricated the King starboard console doors. I'll see if I can find it.

In the meantime, try contacting Happel Marine, in Rockledge FL 407-636-7562. I know in the past they have supplied Whaler, and they also fabricate King Starboard. Or call King Plastic Corp directly 941-493-5502, in Venice FL. They may be able to give you the names of their large fabricators, especially those who do console doors.
