I'm trying to determine the serial number on my 22' Outrage. The title has one number that starts with BWC***** but then inside one of the front wells there is another number that starts with an "A". Does anyone know where to find the actual serial #?

The BWC***** number should be on the starboard upper corner of the transom.

The metal tag attached at the transom is the Hull Identification Number (HIN). This identifies the boat as sold by the manufacturer.
The painted on number in the forward locker is the number given to the hull as it came from the mold. This is a different designation.
For example, two hulls could be molded identically, then one becomes a particular model through the addition of more components, while the other becomes a completely different style boat with the addition of different components.
Thus two boats could be molded almost sequentially, yet become different style Whalers with different serial numbers on their HIN tags on the transom.
