Author	Topic:   OMC tilt motor replacement
Whalerdan	posted 09-18-2001 04:24 AM ET (US)         Has anyone replace the tilt motor on their OMC. Mine is rusty, but still working. I'd like to replace it but those back screws look to be a b%$#%. I was thinking of getting a long screw driver and bending it up in hopes reaching it. Other wise it looks like you have to take the motor off the boat. Any ideas?
Clark Roberts	posted 09-18-2001 06:25 AM ET (US)             Whalerdan, it might be possible to get the tilt motor off without unbolting the engine but I suggest that you waste no time trying and unbolt and swing that engine away from transom... you will save time in the long run.. been there ,,, done that... good luck, and Happy Whalin'....
