In terms of attaching. re-attaching fittings, if you are screwing into straight epoxy -such as a repair done with West System - can you tap and put in machine screws or are you better to use regular screws, perhaps overdrilling the hole slightly and adding some more West as you bed in the screw ? I am always worried about cracking the epoxy. My current example would be my railings where I have overdrilled the existing holes to about 1/2 inch diameter and filled with West - do I tap or screw....
