ContinuousWave: Whaler Repairs/Mods
posted 10-07-2001 10:50 PM ET (US)
I recently watched ship shape tv and saw the episode where condensation was the root of water ingress.A couple of things confused me about some fiberglass repairs he did to tryy and get the water out.He apparently had condensation collecting in the hull through an open portion inside the hull which was collecting in the hull and blistering back through his new imron paint job.I think it was a foam cored hull, and the repair consisted of opening it up for "one"day to dry out (air)and then glassing it back over?Is this sufficient time for a repair like this, drying out i mean.I've read a lot of threads on this site and they all call for extended drying time.
