The cable was cut on my OR. There is one on ebay, but I haven't pulled mine yet so I don't know how long it is. Anyone know?

I tried to go to Whaler, but there is a problem with the site right now.

If you're near central CT, you can have my old ones, or you can pay for shipping to wherever. I replaced them with hydraulic. From an 89 18' Outrage. Decent shape. I almost threw them out the other day.

I take it you had a dual cable arrangement, Acseatsri. I currently have a single. Would your cables (one of them) work?

BTW, how do you like the hydrosteering? do you think it was a worth the bux improvement?

I replaced the cable on my 85 18.6 with Seastar hydraulic. What a great decision. No feedback, sorta like power steering. I think my old cable is out in the woods somewhere, probably under about 6" of pine straw. Maverick

JB, yes, I have the twin cable steering. I have the helm and the link also. The only thing I don't have is the bracket that mounts on the tilt tube for the second cable to mount to- destroyed it taking it off - and the steering wheel. You should be able to purchase it from teleflex. You're welcome to the whole shebang if you'd like. Oh, the engine was a 150 Eninrude.

Thanks for the offer, Acseatsri. You and Maverick have persuaded me to investigate Hydro-helm. Sounds like a better way to go.

Your call, JB. I bought mine on EBAY for about $350. Retail price is around 800-900. It'll probably cost around $20 to ship my setup to you. Let me know, as It's going in the trash soon. My wife has issued the order already.
