while getting the old katama ready for its thanksgiving trip to ga. golden isles,i found the cable stuck.. last used in SALTWATER! in august. so unhook it,tap it out, clean and grease, replace,right?..it came out easy..to replace i had to unbolt the big v-4.(why is the tilt tube black iron pipe?)..so i figured why not RAISE THE ENGINE UP a hole? (it was all the way down)..what the heck.did it, but i recommend following the directions of earlier posters,"raise and lower front of trailer, support the engine"..etc..DO ALL THOSE THINGS. its safer!..now i'm ready for a spectacular 45 mph !! a few more rpms... lm
