Can anyone tell me if the OMC 115 motor is freshwater (internally) cooled? If not is there a modication to make the motor freshwater cooled?

That is a raw water cooled motor and there is no way to change it. It is basicly an outboard motor rigged to the jet drive rather than a lower unit with a prop.
I believe there is a flushing connection on the motor and if you use it in salt water flush it out good and you shouldn't have any problems.

hi there fellow rager....not sure what is meant exactly by internally cooled but it does have a special plug into motor with jet drive pulled out of the clamps...right above the impeller to flush....it would also be advisable to get the after market filter that ties into water intake....will prevent $$$$$$ of nightmares,....clogging of cooling in jet drive is the achilles heel...i love mine...good luck
