Does a 1977 13.5 ft. Whaler typically have a 15" or 20" Transom length? The one I'm going to look at has the transom straight across. My old 62 had a 15" (cut down)...

The '77 13 had a 20" transom height.

What was the last year of the 15" transom model?

Thanks alot guys!

I have a chance to buy a 77 in fairly good condition needing some glassing on a trailer with a make shift center console with a 83 35 HP Johnson electric start (runs so so) for $800. I have a brand new Nissan tiller control (15" shaft) sitting around. Trying to make a decision on picking it up..

$800 and you are debating? Could sell that in a heartbeat for double, maybe more.
