a friend called me today inquiring about a 1978 17 ft. The boat is in pristine condition, no bottom paint, never left in the water. The problem is when he looks down the sides of the boat, the sides are 'wave'
back and forth.... any ideas and is this a problem

Howdy, Capt. Bobb. Wavy sides are not unusual on 16s and 17s. A thump check can usually determine if there is any delamination. Every one I ever had, including a '66 bought new and a 2000 bought new had some wavyness in the sides.

Red sky at night. . .
JB :)

Helen Keller could read the sides of my 89 and she is straight compared to others I have owned. Totally normal!
