I'm sure this topic has been covered many times. No excuses, I'm new to the board. Have an early 60's 13' which was painted blue inside. Lots of checking. Want to strip the inside and either repaint or new gelcoat. I would really appreciate the advice and experience of the folks who have had to do this, their pros and cons and your generous advice. Thanks.

I recently stripped the inside of my 1962 13'. The boat had three coats of paint and numerous repairs which needed to be tended to. You will need a lot of fiberglass paint remover as well as a lot of sand paper to strip it. I used awlgrip inside and out. I rolled it and tipped the paint with a brush. It took me about two and a half months to redo the entire boat so be prepared for a little project.
