If you use a whaler drive, where is your sonar transducer placed ? My first choice is on the rear of the whaler drive but
I am concerned the turbulence from the hull step down will cause poor performance. If I place it on the hull, below the whaler drive, there is a chance of damage without changing my trailer location.
Were is yours and do you get good performance from it ?

You can see my set up at the link below. It showes the tranducer cable running over the top of the WD

Before it was there, the old unit was mounted on the bolting flange of the WD.

Both mounting spots were accurate and did not interefere with trailering.
