Several of you have suggested using 3M 4200 as an adhesive/sealer. How does lifeseal compare? Thanks.

This should be an interesting topic. I have yet to see anything that can keep up with 3M 4200/5200, personally. Yes they're expensive.

I dont see what the hype is about 5200. I've used it and areas began lifting off the gelcoat in a matter of months. The bond strength seemed very poor. What gives?

I use lifeseal a lot... I also use 5200.
I use the 5200 for permanent seals as it is very difficult to remove. I use the lifeseal for all other less permanent seals like bildge pump screws.
In the beginning I made the mistake of using plain silicon seal, big mistake !
