I just contacted Whaler about purchasing a new rub rail for my 1980 22' Outrage and was told that I have two choices. Three piece original or a two piece all black rub rail. I prefer the looks of the all black but does anyone have experience with this style?

There are pictures in the Cetecea of an Outrage Gaurdian with black rails. Looks sweet!

Whaler 5,
We have the 2 piece rubraile on DIVE 1. We purchased it from Barbour. It is heavy duty and fairly easy to install.

I will be needing a new 2-piece rubrail for my '73 OR 21 project boat. I have priced it out with Twin Cities Marine (Whaler original)but haven't purchased yet. Does Barbour give you a better deal?

The price I got from Whaler was $251. Does that sound right?

We had to buy 100' minimum from Barbour. Someone else posted that Barbour would sell a drop but they had to have the corrrect size and length that you needed to make it cost effective. I do not remember what we paid for the rub rail but $251 is probably a decent price.

Thanks all,

Quote I had couple months ago was $249 + shipping. Probably will order soon so can start reassembling my Outrage this spring.
