I am looking for a bracket with a chair that mounts from inside the anchor well compartment which a person would sit in and could operate a trolling motor mounted on the front. Whaler use to make these at one time I am told but I can not find one. This would go on a 15' 1977 Whaler. Please Help

Hi, Jimel.

Pick Instrument Products of Galena, TX made the mounts and bases.

Call Melba at 713-672-1868

I installed a Navistyle seat from BPS on my Montauk. Looks GREAT. Got pics if you are interested.

Is it possible to mount one of those brackets on a 1976 13'sport?

If you'll take a look at the last picture of my 15' Striper (Cetecea page 50), you'll see both the trolling motor mount and the chair receptacle that you need. As information, the trolling motor that came with mine was an Evinrude... matches the outboard... something I haven't seen since. Whaler also installed an electrical outlet on the starboard side of the console to power the trolling motor. As far as the seat goes, keep an eye on EBay. There was a chair and mount up for auction as recently as yesterday.

Good luck!

CUOffshore: I looked at the picture of your Striper 15, Cetecea page 50 (reference 50-15), and I wonder why water does not enter the foam of your hull thru the sprue hole? Is this foam coated with something when the manufacturer finished filling the hull with foam? Any input would be appreciated.

The seat and mount that was on ebay is on its way to my shed to await my next 13. Had to pay a lot for it, but there is more demand than supply.
