Hello fellow whalers-

I am restoring a 1966 classic 13 from the groung up, so to speak. It is "The Bos'n" or "sport" and once had a wheel on it but the wheel was removed and boat stripped down for a crew team (rowing) and a tiller drive was put on it and so it remained that way for many years.

I am West System-ing and painting the boat, repairing various holes, pits and dings, refinishing mahogany thwarts et al.

I have obtained and old stering consule (mahaogany)with wheel and steering cable. I have a Johnson 25 hp outboard set up for remote, but that is it.

I need help PLEASE with advice on throttle controls, how to set up steering-do I need brackets, pulleys?

Many thanks in advance for your input!!!!

Convert it to a modern steering system. Easier to hook up and "safe". About $130-150. Spend another $39 and get a modern SS steering wheel, worth the cash and simplicity.
