My father ran into the dock last fall and knocked the bow light off. What should i use to fill the holes so the screws stay?

Hi, Bob.

You don't give much detail but I'm going to guess that your boat is a classic 17 or smaller.

Drill the holes out to at least 1/2". Make some plugs of mahogany (don't use dowel, the grain is wrong)and epoxy them in so that they are about 1/8 to 1/4 below the gelcoat.
Seal them in with epoxy colored to match the gelcoat.

Then you can drill and reinstall your bow light or a replacement.

Good luck.

Tom Clark or Clark Roberts may have better suggestions. If so, do it their way.
