Although not quit complete, here is an RPS for my Montauk made of aluminum pipe and plate with rod holders in the back rest. I also made two 13-gallon aluminum tanks to fit below it. Project is still in the prototype phase and the back rest support arms need to be extended about 1" to 1-1/2" to assist in being a leaning post and to give a little seat area.

CaptCornchowder--I have been working on a stern bench seat idea, just have not had time to fabricate it yet.

Seagull--Can you give the approximate cost for having the tanks made? Thanks.

andygere--Paid scrap price for the 3/16" aluminum plate $5, s.s. vent cap and alum. nipple $15, fuel line connection $5, fuel pickup assmbly $10 and cost me a sack of live crawfish to to get the two tanks welded. Grand total was about $130 for both tanks.

Seagull, what a deal! They look great, and I'd easily pay a salmon filet or two above what you paid :>)

seagull--Nice job! What did you use to drill through the floor for the fuel line hose and what did you line it with? Thanks for the info.

Bob
