While dismantling my 1986 Outrage 18 I noticed that the tank is WIDER to the starboard side of the boat. Does anyone know if this is normal?
I'm begining to fear that a wrong tank was transsplanted into the boat... I sure hope not...

You mean when you opened the fuel tank cavity that there is more open or foamed space on the starboard side of the tank, between the tank and the tank cavity walls?

I do know that in the older 21' series, the "v" in the bottom of the tank cavity, and consequentally, the tank also, was offset, due to the wiring tunnel.
