I have a 15 sport with seat back option, am comtemplating redoing the interior and would like suggestions from someone who has done this. Thinking of using the original console but raising it approx 5 in. removing the thwart seats and adding a couple of swivel jobs. Any pics would help.

Better get a wood diagram....mount those seats where there is no wood and you gonna be falling out the transom.

My method of adding ,,is to cut out a piece of the floor,,add oak blocks epoxied into the foam, then replace the fiberglass decking, color match the seam, and screw the seat or console to the oak block through the
original floor ,,nothing has ever come loose this way

Unless you have a really old 15' (earlier than hull #5A0857) the entire floor is plywood backed. Put pedestal seats wherever you like. I had twin pedestal seats in my 15' and it was a huge inprovement in comfort in that boat. You will be pleased.

I just raised the console in my 89 15 sport 4 inches. I started out with 5 inches, but it looked too high in trlation to the wood side rails. I am trying to get some photos on disk so I can send them in.

Go to page 50 in Cetacea and scroll down to David Roach's 15.Quite a nice setup, with lots of walking space.
