I purchased a 1963 13'6 Whaler. It currently has a 20 inch shaft motor and I am thinking about mounting a 25 inch shaft motor that is in much better condition. I was wondering if this is possible, and if anyone else out there has done something similar. If you have please give me some tips. Thanks!

What size is your transom? You can always get a big jack plate. But that would be aroung 10 inches above the top on the transom assuming it's a 15.

Danny,

I presume you meant to say you have a 15" shaft motor now and are contemplating mounting a 20" shaft motor. It is possible and I suggest you review this thread: http://continuouswave.com/ubb/Forum4/HTML/000710.html

They do not make smaller 25" engines except for sailboat editions. 25" start at 90-115hp with most manufacturers.
