For my money, Springfield Marine makes the best one piece manual bracket on the market, and in 10" setback. About $275.
You might want to consider a 60HP engine instead. A Yamaha 70 would be a good light weight choice also.
JimH has mentioned that he's been intrigued with this kind of a conversion for some time.

Bob, be sure that the transom is very sound and strong... moving an engine back creates a cantilever and multiplys the weight putting some high stress on all hardware. Suggest you use two upper bolts on each side of bracket to transom mounting and use TWICE the transom backing you may think is needed. I'm not familiar with the hull bottom at stern but it needs to be smooth and free of any protrusions. Good luck and keep us posted! Clark.. Spruce Creek Navy

I'm close to buying a rage, I know a lot of you guys don't like them! I would like to put a kicker motor on it (you guys have me paranoid about its reliablity). Can you share anything you learn with the overall conversion the may be helpfull in installing/choosing/locating/... a kicker!
