Anybody have suggestions about storage for all you US Coast guard requirements. I love my 13 73 whaler, WHEN IT IS EMPTY. As soon as you add 4 lifejackets,oar,whistles,etc.. tackle box, cooler, you know what I mean. I need to consoldate everything so I am not tripping over stuff.Any suggestions , other than getting a bigger boat would be great.

Get one of the bags that the Coast Guard approves for holding the life jackets. It would help consolidate the equipment a bit.

Think three dimensions. I have a PFD
back that I clip to the rail, and flip over
the side when we are stopped like a saddle
bag. When inside the boat, it's still 10"
off the deck, and stuff goes under it.

I've also see one of the bags mounted to the
top of the engine cowlings. My dive buddies
with inflatables have even less space than
you, and some are really creative.
