'87 Outrage 18 port side bow light has no power, starboard does. Do these share the power feed? Run behind the rub rail? Any one figured out a creative way to feed a new wire?

BabySitter,

The wire to each light is independent of the other, but if one has gone out can the other be far behind?

Replacing it is very easy. The wires do not run behind the rub rail but rather behind the rub rail insert. Just undo the insert at the stern and peel it out of the receiver track. Install new wire and reinstall the insert. Done.

Thanks Tom - Do all the wires run to the stern via tunnel and then feed under the insert at some point back there? I can find the stern light wire running exposed from the tunnel - cannot find the bow wire's point of entry to the insert area.

They go from the console through the little tunnels on each side of the console then up behind the removable plastic panels at the front end of the gunwale boards and thence through the rub rail and to their respective lights.
