Would the 22'+, OR owners that have installed wash down systems explain how they are plumbed ? I would like to install the pump in the center console and was considering pumping from the front well drain tube. what did Whaler do as OEM, what have you all done as aftermarket installs ?
Thanks, Jim

I have (had) the Shurflo mounted under the starboard gunwale, just ahead of the fuel filter. Mine picks up from the Shurflo bait pump mounted on the transom. The arrangement works good for me, but I only got 2 years on the washdown pump. I'm searching for a better quality product now (are you listening Shurflo??)!! You can see some partial pics at http://briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/reelescape1/lst?.dir=/Whaler+Pictures&.view=l

Thanks for the input, I also bought the sureflow pump...doh !
Another question; when your T-top was installed, how did you anchor the four main legs ? Is there any type of support structure under the floor ?

Mine??? I've had the boat over 3 yrs., the top has been on since new (I have the reciept), it's screwed directly to the floor and also the console. It was built by Bluewater Marine in NC

I have the factory installed Raw Water Washdown on my 25 Outrage, and it would be difficult to duplicate at a later date, without taking out the boat forward floor cover.

But anyway, the combo bronze intake strainer/through hull is of the high speed variety, round ended rectangular in shape, under the starboard bow area, and comes straight up into the boat along the back of the large center bow well. The intake line, without a sea cock ( I presume because Whaler's are unskinkable), comes straight up into the center console, where the SureFlow pump (higher quality than their "Blaster" model) is located in the starboard front floor area. The line then terminates in a capped Perko hose fitting, facing the stern under the gunwale, in the side plastic removeable panel.

Spending the money for one of these was a good idea. I wish I had ordered my 18 Outrage with one as well.
