What do people generally do to antifoul the part of the engine bracket that is in the water. My configuration is a 69 Nauset with a 90 Yamaha in salt water. Is there a special paint to use, can I use what I am putting on the bottom, or is it best left bare ?
( Won't paint the zinc ! )

Thanks,

Ron

I had mine done with a spray-on clear antifouling paint. I've seen many boats where the bottom and the bracket were painted with the same bottom paint. It typically looks terrible. You may be able to get an anti fouling paint that matches your bracket but I doubt it.
