To $odablast or sand

I am the proud owner of an approx 1967' 13 hull that is need of serious work before launching for primarily fresh water boating.
Ther are some holes throught to the foam, and many spider and larger cracks. The inside and out has been painted at least three times with badly chipping and blistering paint. There are several coats of bottom paint on her as well.
I am investigating my options for bringing her back to near new condition. What if any experience has anyone had with sand or sodablasting as opposed to sanding with a hand sander and lots of time and elbow grease?

I just read the very recent posts on soda blasting, thanks for the info! Before sending my question in yesterday I scanned this section from the beginning until december 2001 and didn't see anything.
I have been a huge fan of this site, reading and rereading these pages all winter until the ice goes out on Georgian Bay and I can get back into the boat and out to the Island cottage.
Great Site Guys, keep it up!
