The built in Depth Finder on my Outrage 18' in not registering at any depth. I know that it is receiving power, it blinks "0", the running lights turn on, and the depth alarm will beep. I was wondering if any of you had suggestions on what I should try.

If it is an 1986 model, treat yourself to a new:

--LOWRANCE X-51 ($200) [Married, kids in college]

--LOWRANCE X-91 ($450) [Single, no kids]

--LOWRANCE LCX-16CI ($1,700) [Mid-life crisis]

The display is OMC, the model I will check on. What I have looked into so far.

Checked Power
Checked all cable connections
Checked Trans. mounts- secure

Thoughts on what I should look into next? And how?

I am fairly new to the Forum and fairly new to owning a Whaler. Your help and seasoned advice or any general ideas about the 86 Outrage 18' is very appreciated.
