Mercury only furnishes trim senders on their V-6 engines. For 125's and down, it is an accessory option for about $80 from a dealer. The engine has to be tilted all the way up to install and adjust this, and it goes on the engine portion of the bracket on the port side. It's a little round puck with two ears for screws. If you look, you will see the pre-drilled holes for the screws, and the large SS slotted screw that rotates the sender as you trim up or down.

I have disabled all of mine. I think they're a waste of money, personally, and never work very well, and have given up on them. But if you do spring for them, BE SURE to put anti-sieze compound on the screw threads, as they will quickly freeze up with the SS/Aluminum contact. I trim by looks, and how the boat is running. It is not too hard to tell if the twins are the same.
