Need to attach "L" shape manual tilt spring on port side of motor (1988) can't seem to figure out where it attaches. The spring keeps the tilt brackets form sliding. local mech at Johnson boat yard not working this weekend. It should be easy...Hmmmm, but I am stumped

John, take a ride over to Cape Ann Marina and check out other boats that are still in the yard or in the water, you might find a similar motor. If that doesn't work, check out other marina's. You might alo bump into other mechanics along the way. This is how I determined the best location for my fishfinders transducer.

Jay- good to hear from you i was down at the dock all day today. Motor won't turn over. have a buddy looking at it Monday. I don't think it is serious. i have been looking around for a simular motor here on cape ann. I went to Browns( Johnson Dealer ) and they let me go through the repair shop. No luck. Not a bog deal just a pain in the a-s.Put in Friday night and missed the tide. Tied up 2 slips behind you for 2 hours until I could get to mine. I called John S and he siad not a big deal. I will be down Monday 4:00 ish.
