I noticed on my Montauk that the lower two mounting bolts appear to have been overtightened, and the washers are crushing the glass just a little. The boats are fine thread stainless with large washers, perhaps 1.5" across. But the washers are deorming the glass on the inside of the motor well, and there are some cracks.

Choices would include bigger washers, but I'm not sure there is much space there at the very bottom of the well, or a mounting plate. I also should probably attend to the cracks.

Any repair advice?

Forget filling the cracks.....get a bigger washer, cut it moon shaped to clear the bottom of well and use caulk on the back to keep anything out of the cracks or holes. what year hull?

1988 hull. Trimming the washers sounds like a good idea.
