I ordered and received a set of Bennett m120 sport tabs for use on my '81 Frontier 25. These tabs hopefully will correct the starboard list due to the additional weight of the 4-stroke kicker mounted on the transom. Because my Frontier has a full transom with Volvo-duo-prop drive and with swim-step brackets, transducers, etc. etc. the available mounting area for a larger tab was not possible without making major changes .
The installation appears to be pretty straight forward. The one possible problem: the enclosed wiring harness appears to be a bit short. The path from the transom to the breaker panel in the pilot house is a rather complex journey! Are longer wiring harnesses to be had or must I splice?

If you do splice, use same gauge wire and solder them together. Get yourself heatshrink tubing (Radio Shack carries it)and "sleeve" it to the wires BEFORE you make your connections. And for added protection wrap the slices tightly with electrical tape. This is a must to prevent oxidation and "shorts".

tflyer,

I would contact Bennett directly at 954-427-1400 and see if they have a wiring harness extension. If so, it would probably plug into your existing harness. I'm sure you're not the 1st customer with this problem. Good luck.

Steve

My Thanks to Jay A & Backlash for your input. Tabs are installed w/ no great problems. The harness was indeed to short, app. 5ft., was able to find some 4 conductor wire of the same ga. and did the solder-heat shrink thing, worked fine! I might add that the Bennett folks are really great to work with, Tabman in particular has been very helpful....Tom
