Has anyone had any experience with a two piece stainless bow rail anchor storage hook. I am thinking of picking one up ($32) at Boat US. When I fish with friends on the ICW-Port I find myself going from fishing hole to hole, pulling the anchor, then setting the anchor, then pulling the anchor, then setting the anchor- each time the anchor goes back in the locker or slops around on top of the anchor compartment top.
Spend a good deal of time straddling the anchor locker retrieving the anchor and rope.
Seems like hanging the anchor from the bow rail would be more convenient on fishing trips. Anyone with experience with this bow rail anchor storage set up - I'd like to hear. Thanks David

Apparently, the anchor storage device to which I refer is not in wide spread use. Picture- a couple of stainless strips of metal that hang from the bow rail. The anchor slips between them getting clamped in place. I've seen one on a 22'OR and was wondering how well it worked. Thanks David

I have two of these on my 22 Revenge Cuddy. One's on the bow rail for just the purpose you mention, and another is on the transverse stern rail next to the rocket launcher for permanent storage. The anchor locker in the Revenge is not very accessible, so this is a good solution. They're made by Windline.

I have one, works fine. There are many ways to mount it: anchor outside or inside the rail, above or below the rail. Mine is above the rail and outside, with a little bungie around the shaft and a cleat to keep it from bouncing against the rubrail.
