Does anyone out there have info on CMC power tilt and trim units? I'm tiring of lifting the old Evinrude 75 on my Katama, but I'm not ready to spend the $$ on a new engine. Any info (where to get, what size to get, how much they cost, how difficult to install, etc.)would be appreciated. Thanks.

i have the CMC model PT135 and it works great. Very easy to install and built like a rock. Gives you PT&T plus a descent setback. You would need the larger unit for your size motor. They also have a good help desk. Mine had kind of a cheezy switch, which I swapped out but that was only because I installed mine on my mahogany dash. The switch would be ok mounted on a fiberglass dash. I have a 13'er with a 25hp Honda and Honda doesn't offer PT&T on their smaller motors. Here is their web site:

I bought mine at West Marine on a "no sales tax weekend and saved a few $$$, you might also want to check Cabelas and some of the other marine outlets.

Thanks; sounds like a good system. I'll check it out.

Great piece of equipment -worth the investment. When I tried to order mine from the company directly, they turned me to Cabelas which was cheaper!
