Bad things happen to good boats, and I had a fender pop out Friday night, then the wind changed, and then a big screw eye in the dock ate a hole in the side of my boat.

I feel really sick.

I think this is going to need a glasser with more skill then me. Do any of you know someone around Puget Sound who can fix a hole in a whaler before mid August and do a decent job cosmetically? Its right below the numbers.

I'm not sure but you might try Alberto's Fiberglass Boat Repair (206-282-3738) over by Fisherman's Terminal in Seattle. This place used to be called Stan Jones Fiberglass Repair or something like that and was always the place Jacobsen's sent the Whalers. Driving by there recently, I suspect they are the place that works on all the Gradys now too.

But don't take my word for it. Ask around. I do not think that is a very difficult repair to make and I am sure a lot of repair places can do the work. I would guess time is the more important factor in this case. July is a bad time to crunch your boat.

On the other hand, I suspect you could do it yourself. Bring it by my house and we could do it with the official Whaler repair instructions I have. Fiberlay is just down the street...
