RPS for 15CC ?

I've been pleased with my 2 swivel pedestal seats that were installed to replace the thwart seat on my 15 Sport CC, but they're so close together, you can't even slide between them, and I don't really want to re-drill 8 or 16 holes...
I'm considering a small version of Montauk's RPS. I may have to fabricate it, and if so, I'd enclose it on 3 sides and put the fuel tank in the enclosure.
Has anyone tried this modification? I think it's possible to make the seat wide enough for two (if you're good friends) and not extend past the console width....

A cooler with a cushion works too. I had an RPS rip loose on me and my friend making a turn. Luckily my hand was on the throttle so when we flew, I yanked the throttle back. Could have been really bad if not for the railings and "luckily" I only lost a $3000 watch my parents gave me for graduating college(no sentimental value there:). My point is be careful what you bolt to the floor that did not come that way from the factory, especially with the lower sides on a 15.

I've read here somewhere that a cooler works pretty well. But it doesn't leave storage for the fuel tank(s). Since I have the tunnel/cover, I can run the fuel line from under the seat. I suppose a cooler seat would be fine, if I also put a "removable" seat in front of the console, and put the tank(s) there.....

REALLY sorry about the watch!'
I'm scheming to put the Montauk-type console railings on my console. CMI says they'll fit just fine. That would add some "grab" security.

They made them for a 15 and 13 as well. I even had it engraved "Congratulation! Mom & Dad" Makes me teary eyed!
Crappy thing is I just had a new battery put in it and somewhere on the bottom in 3' of water it is still running.

Bigshot, which lake did you leave that watch in? You probably could have found it last year when we had the drought... This year it's probably 12' deep

Manatee river, right in front of my house. Problem is I did not realize it until I was halfway down my canal. At that point it could be anywhere in the are the size of a football field. No chance in hell.
