I have a 1986 Johnson 40. I do all my own repair but don't have a manual. Most Chilton manuals will tell you very little. I need to do some repair on the lower unit, and Chilton tell nothing about this. I know I can buy a Factory repair manual, but they are expensive. Does anyone know of a web site that will give repair information?

Jiles,
Try this site. Go into the Boating Forums section and you will find a category for Johnson motors.
